Cruza was born and brought up in Colombo (Ceylon) though a native of Thuriayur near Kailasapuram Tirunelveli Dist. Her brother Arul Madhu retired Jailer in the Tamil Nadu Jail Services passed away long ago. He lived in his native village Thuriayur after his retirement. She was a teacher in the Surya Narayana Sastri (SNS) School, Manamadurai and eldest daughter-in-law of Thaveethu. As Thaveethu worked as a teacher in Free School and died at a young age at Penang Malaysia, Mary, later Mary Swaminathan, eldest of the siblings, brought them up and settled in Manamadurai.
On 4th June 2011 the funeral mass was held at the Manamadurai R C Church and was attended by her sons, daughters, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren and host of relatives and friends. Later she was interned in the R C cemetery along side her spouse David Isaac.
Thus the three sons and their spouses of Thaveethu of Nanchankulam Village Tirunelveli Dist finally laid to rest. Each was buried along with his spouse - a rare blessing indeed in these modern times. May their generation give thanks to the life and times and praise the Lord. May they continue to intercede for their children and their children’s children and their progeny for ever with the Lord Jesus.
Lord we thank you for giving us them as our parents.
With eternal gratitude and supplication
