TIMMOTHY ARULKUMAR ORDAINED AS PRESBYTER

IT IS GREAT HAPPY NEWS FOR THE EXTENDED FAMILY OF NELLAI NAANJANKULAM JACOB FOUNDER OF NANJANKULAM VILLAGE AND THE PATRIARCH OF THE FAMILY. TIMOTHY ARUL KUMAR S/O REV DAVID UDHAYAKUMAR S/O D RAJENDRAM S/O THAVEETHU S/O SAMUEL S/O JACOB, WAS ORDAINED AS A PRESBYTER  IN CSI CHURCH BY THE BISHOP OF MADURAI-RAMNAD ON 27TH JULY 2014.

LATE JACOB WAS A DIOCESAN BOARD MEMBER IN THE PALAYAMKOTTAI CSI DIOCESE IN THE 1820S. A WELL KNOWN PHILANTHROPISTS, SINCERE BELIEVER, AND AN INNOVATOR WOULD BE HAPPY THAT IN HIS FAMILY FATHER- REV DAVID UDNAYA KUMAR AND SON- REV TIMOTHY ARUL KUMAR ARE PRESBYTERS IN THE CSI CHURCH. HIS DREAM IS FULFILLED.

ANNUAL MERIT AWARDS

NANCHANKULAM, NELLAI DIST

Since the demise of our father David Dorairaj retired Asst Works Manager/Electrical/Engineering Workshops/Arakkonam, Southern Railway, on 13^th May 2009, Merit Awards in the name of David Dorairaj & Savariammal are constituted in our native village Nanchankulam, Tirunelveli Dist in the following manner: First and Second Cash Prizes with  Merit Certificates  Rs 1500/- and Rs 1000/- for the highest marks in 12^th examinations and First and Second Cash Prizes with  Merit Certificates Rs 1500/- and Rs 1000/- for the highest marks in SSLC 10^th examinations among the catholic students at the village.

Accordingly, the awards are distributed during the Annual Feast of St Aloysius (Gnanaprakaasiaar) in the month of May. The awards are already distributed during years 2010, 2011, & 2012.

This year the awards were presented on the 21^st June 2013 during the Annual Feast of St Aloysius. The awards were presented by Rev M S Antonysamy, Parish Priest, St Joseph’s Church, Sankar Nagar (Thaazhaiyuthu) Diocese of Palayamkottai, Tamil Nadu South India.

followed by 2. Varun Kumar Isaac s/o Kasturi d/o Mary d/o David, s/o Samuel s/o Jacob, 3. Satish s/o
seetha d/o Mary d/o David, s/o Samuel s/o Jacob,  4.David Rosario s/o Rosary d/o David Dorairaj  s/o David, s/o Samuel s/o Jacob.
God has blessed them with children and they are named Abigail (Catherine), Vanshika (Varun Kumar), Derek (David Rosario) and   (Satish)

These children are the SEVENTH generation of the Jacob family Nanchankulam, Tirunelveli Dist.
